This project involves adaptive reuse of an existing campus building and the creation of a new 400-seat auditorium. Together with renovation of an existing 180-seat theatre the combined development aims to enhance and enliven the central thoroughfare passing through the Chong Yuet Ming Complex to provide a vibrant circulation route and performance hub in the heart of the campus.

Besides the multifunctional performance spaces, the project includes backstage workshops, and ancillary facilities, pre-function areas and new outdoor landscaping. Potential uses include drama, dance and music performances in addition to film screenings and lectures. Associated works include partial demolition, re-routing of building services, structural strengthening and adaptation of existing facilities in coordination with complex site access issues and ongoing operation of the University throughout the construction period.
